If you’ve got a website, do you know what it looks like on a smart phone?  If you haven’t got it set up to present on a mobile phone then people who use their phones to visit your website may get very frustrated scrolling to and fro to read the screen.

Websites that are designed to present on mobile phones rank higher with the search engines, so it makes sense to ensure your website is designed for mobiles as well as a normal screen.

The challenge for mobile phones is that there isn’t a great deal of room to present your information.  Jakob Nielsen (usability expert) says that content for websites should always be concise and to the point, but it needs to be even more focused and shorter for mobile phone users.

If you have a WordPress website there is a plug in that transforms your site for mobile phone users, but if you’re not on WordPress you will need to have a subsidiary design done to present your site successfully on a small screen.

If you don’t know what your site looks like on a smart phone – now is a really good time to check!
